Original Geometric Abstract Art
Playing with Light and Perspective
Nurtured by a deep interest in architecture and design, these influences are vividly reflected in my creations. Geometry, patterns, perspective, shadow and light therefore occupy a central place in my work.
Furthermore, it was during my studies in interior design that I developed the two fundamental dimensions of my artistic expression: the visual arts and technical drawing.
A Journey Through Antiquity and Modernity
Drawing from two distinct periods of time, my sources of inspiration are undeniably far apart. Yet, despite their distance from one another, they converge through the timelessness of their lines and forms. On one side is the twentieth century, with Art Deco, Bauhaus, mid-century design and, of course, Op Art. On the other is Antiquity, with the Platonic solids and Pompeian motifs.
Where Meticulous Handwork Meets Technological Precision
Guided by a pursuit of precision, I combine manual tools with cutting technologies to develop each composition with rigour. My creative process follows four principal stages: conception, drawing, cutting and assembly.
Once a concept is created, I produce a digital drawing to define every detail. The design is then cut with a plotter to ensure an exceptionally crisp finish before being assembled by hand.
A Non-traditional Medium: Vinyl on Acetate
I chose vinyl and acetate for their ability to produce remarkably clean cuts, while demanding a technical precision during assembly that I find deeply compelling.
Coming from a family of artists and artisans, this heritage enables me to bring visual art and handwork into harmonious dialogue throughout my artistic practice.
An Invitation to Slow Looking
I hope to offer you a pause from the turbulence of everyday life and accompany you toward a connection with the present moment, as encouraged by the philosophy of "far niente".
Through my works, I invite you to pause and take time to observe a world where contemporary forms gradually come to life and reveal their mysteries.
